The OECD published for comment the proposed Crypto Assets Reporting Framework. The proposal reveals a significant increase in types of activities and reporting entities. The level of detailed data reporting of both personal and transaction information, not to mention the onerous potential burden on industry particpants to become reporting entities goes far beyond any existing regulations, including the common reporting standard in place for financial institutions.
