We always have room for another hero!

Welcome
It is with great pride that we welcome you to the official website of the Chancellor Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department. It is my hope that you, our community, get a chance to see the best of the Spotsylvania County Fire and Rescue Service through the eyes of our 145 dedicated volunteers. Throughout the past 60 years these men and women have given so unselfishly for their neighbors in our community and are always ready to serve. For this they remain one of the best fire and rescue organizations in the state.

The Chancellor Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department provides fire and rescue protection for over 40 square miles encompassing the Route 3 corridor as well as the Five Mile Fork and Chancellorsville Battlefield areas, Salem Fields, Holleybrooke, Smoke Tree and The Timbers. We operate one fire house and two rescue stations. Last year we responded to an average of 4,500 calls.

We are always looking for men and women who want to make a difference in the community by volunteering. Chancellor Volunteer Fire Department will provide all the equipment and training necessary. For more information go to the recruitment icon and follow the steps or call 540-548-HERO.

We hope you enjoy our website and get a better picture of us, your community, and what you can do to keep your family safe. On behalf of Deputy Chief Weber and the proud men and women of this department, we thank you for visiting our website and hope you will visit again soon.
